Scheduling WordPress posts in the future is a great idea. While I do post blogs whenever I see something I want to blog about, I also sit down to my laptop once every 2 months and write about 15 blogs. These are scheduled into the future, usually a week apart. This means my blog is always setup to publish one blog each week, at least 15 weeks away from today. I never have to worry about my blog being updated with fresh content. And with Stoked Pictures I never have to worry that my visitors won’t immediately know about the fresh content.
How to Schedule WordPress Blogs
This is so easy you’ll be doing it in no time. First, click “New Post” at the top of your WordPress admin. Then on the right side of the page, inside the “Publish” box, next to the word “Publish immediately” click “Edit.”
Then just set the date to what ever date and time you want the post to go public. I always have mine post at 2am. I don’t have much of a reason for this except there aren’t many people on the website at 2am, and people coming to the site that day are going to see the new post. 5pm wouldn’t work as well because a lot of that day’s visitors wouldn’t see it.
Then click “OK,” and if you’ve set the date or time to a future date or time, the “Publish” button will change to “Schedule.” Hit schedule, and you’re all set.
Your new blog will post on whatever date and time you’ve chosen.
